MCP connector
Add Simbila as a connector and just ask: “How much did I invoice this year, month by month?”, “Who has owed me for more than 30 days?”, “Draft an invoice for Novak Construction for 12 hours of consulting.” Simbila does the maths, not the model. Issuing, sending, payments and deletions happen only after you confirm them.
OAuth sign-in · Risky steps only after confirmation · No AI credit used
1. Create a Simbila account. The free plan is enough, no card required.
2. Add Simbila as an MCP server with this URL:
https://mcp.simbila.com/mcp
3. Sign in. In Claude, Simbila's sign-in page opens and shows who you are granting access to. Codex in ChatGPT signs in with an API key you create in Simbila. The steps for both are in the connection guide (in Czech).
Not without you. Issuing, sending an invoice or a reminder, recording a payment, cancelling and deleting only prepare a proposal with a preview, and nothing changes until you confirm it. An unconfirmed proposal expires after 24 hours. Reversible changes, such as editing a client or a project, happen straight away and can be undone within 24 hours.
The connector signs in with OAuth 2.1: you type your password only on Simbila's own sign-in page and the AI never sees it. Each connection gets its own key that works for the connector only; you will find it under Settings → API key, and deleting it ends access immediately. The connector can do only what your role in the account allows: a read-only member gets read tools only.
We have verified Claude (web and desktop, signing in to Simbila over OAuth) and Codex from OpenAI in ChatGPT, which connects with an API key. Simbila is a standard remote MCP server, so other apps that support remote MCP servers should work too.
It reports revenue, receivables, cash flow and VAT computed in the database; finds invoices, payments, clients, quotes and orders; looks companies up in ARES and VAT numbers in VIES; creates and edits clients, projects, price-list items and recurring invoices; and prepares invoices, quotes, orders and reminders. It cannot yet edit an issued invoice, issue a credit note, or edit or delete a payment; do those in the app.
Connector calls use no Simbila AI credit, because the model runs on your side in Claude or Codex. Your regular Simbila plan applies, including its invoice limit; the free plan is enough to try it. Neither the REST API nor the connector has a monthly call quota, only protection against flooding.
For the connector, Simbila sends nothing to any AI provider. Tool results go only to the AI app you connected yourself, under that app's terms. Simbila keeps a record of tool calls and proposals for 12 months for traceability.
Setting up an account takes a minute and needs no card. Add the connector whenever you like.
